Gorer had a very sophisticated clientele that demanded only the best the market had to offer. Amongst the many clients and collectors Gorer sold to were: John Pierpont Morgan, William Bennett, Sir Richard Bennett, Nellie Ionides, Henry Clay Frick and Charles Phelps Taft.
Edgar Gorer died in 1915 when traveling with Frank Partridge from New York to England on the Lusitania which was torpedoed by a German U-Boat.
